1.- Take the I-10 West to the end of town (Buckeye area).
2.- Take Hwy 85 south to Gila Bend, this is the same exit I-8 to San Diego.
3.- You will drive through Gila Bend until you see a McDonald's. There is turn right before the McDonald's that is a the continuation of Hwy 85 South (90 more minutes until you get to the border). The border town is called Lukeville.
4.- Follow Hwy 85 straight into Mexico. You will have two turns to make into the town of Sonoyta. Just follow the signs overhead that point to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point).
5.- You now have about another 60 miles before you get to Rocky Point.
1.- Take the I-10 West to I-8 (just before Casa Grande).
2.- Take I-8 West to Gila Bend, take the 2nd exit and turn left on Hwy 85 South.
3.- Follow Hwy 85 straight into Mexico, you will have 90 more minutes
The new intercoastal highway has been completed. People can cross through either Yuma or Mexicali, take highway 2 East and at the Eastern edge of San Luis there are clean signs directing to the new coastal highway toll road. Toll road is $94.00 pesos around $7.85 dlls. You will pass El Golfo de Santa Clara before you get to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point)
